Government organizations face an incredibly difficult balancing act.
They are tasked with operating in as lean a way as possible to meet tightening expenditure constraints while at the same time delivering and enhancing vital services that meet the changing needs of the population.
One of the more interesting dynamics during the last two years has been the rise of shared, collaborative service delivery. Shared services delivery models are hardly new to the local government sector in the region and have been a feature for more than three decades. But in the post-pandemic environment, there has been a raft of new initiatives launched in the UK and Benelux and Nordic regions.
